Glazing
All Eclipse external doors are designed to accept 28 mm sealed units. Special attention should be paid to the safety requirements of BS 6262: 1982 when specifying glazing. Toughened or laminated glass is available. Alternative a thermally insulated panel can be installed.
Hardware
The master door can be supplied with a multi-point lock. Operation of the mechanism is controlled by the movement of the door handle whilst the central deadbolt is locked in position by means of the door cylinder. The strikers are profile specific and are manufactured from a mazac die casting and have a stainless steel covering.
To provide the level of security, ease of operation and practicability in terms of stock holding, the lock is the same version as that supplied for the residential door although the striker set is different.
The slave door leaf is locked by means of a shoot bolt system designed by the same lock manufacturer. To prevent the master door from being left in an unlocked situation, there is an interlock built into the shoot bolt mechanism.
